The 6316C Davis Instruments Cabled Weather Envoy is for use with cabled Vantage Pro 2 sensor suites. Pair with a 6510USB WeatherLink Data logger or 6510SER WeatherLink serial interface, to send your weather data to your PC computer or PLC/SCADA system.

Why buy this?

• Combine with a 6510SER WeatherLink Serial Interface and ModBus or BACnet gateway to get your weather data from your wireless sensor suite to your operating system
• Combine with a 6510USB WeatherLink Data Logger to get your weather data from your cabled sensor suite to your Windows laptop or PC
• Could be used in a remote field installation, but the 6316NZ Wireless version of the Envoy offers superior battery life, an extra external sensor, and is easier to keep waterproof (as it doesn’t have a cable), so we think it would be the better choice

Important:

• Sold on its own as a replacement part. The Weather Envoy does not display or save data. A 6510USB WeatherLink data logger or 6510SER WeatherLink Serial Interface is required for use with this Envoy, to save data and transfer that data. Check out our bundles.
• The Envoy is designed for indoor use so must be kept dry and out of direct sunlight or heating
• Not suitable for use with modern McIntosh computers
• As there is no display screen, any changes you make beyond the basic set-up will need to be done on a PC computer
