Mounting option for remote installations to power and protect an Envoy or Legacy Console

Category:

Description

The Solar Power Kit is designed to protect certain Davis receivers from the weather while powering them via the solar panel

For use with:
  • A wireless 6316NZ wireless Weather Envoy
  • A legacy 6351 Vantage Vue console (discontinued, but still many in use)
  • A legacy 6312NZ wireless Vantage Pro 2 console (discontinued but still many in use)
Why buy this?
  • You have a remote site without internet or power and you want to collect weather data. Install a wireless 6316NZ Envoy and 6510USB WeatherLink Data Logger in a Solar Power Kit to power it and keep it out of the weather. Visit periodically to manually download the data onto a Windows laptop
Notes:
  • No power is required for the wireless Davis sensor suites, as they are powered by their own solar panel
  • If operating in a low light area or poor conditions, consider the 6612 Heavy Duty Solar Power Kit
  • If you want to use a cabled sensor suite and Envoy, you need the 6612 Heavy Duty Solar Power Kit
  • Can be mounted on a 7716 Mounting Tripod or 7717 Mounting Pole Kit
