6345NZ Davis Instruments Wireless Leaf and Soil Moisture/Temperature Station

Description

The 6345 Davis Instruments Wireless Leaf and Soil Moisture/Temperature Station provides farmers, horticulturalists and gardening enthusiasts their own local soil data.

Monitoring your soil moisture and soil temperature will help you, over time, get to know your soil better and learn how much water is stored and how your soil responds to rain and irrigation.

Potential benefits of monitoring your soil and acting on that data include:

• Increased effectiveness of fertilisers and pesticides
• Better control of diseases
• Reduced water and energy consumption
• Reduced costs

Transmits data wirelessly up to 300 metres line of sight back to your wireless Davis console or WeatherLink Live (sold separately).

Sensors

Sold separately so you can build a customised system. Your 6345 Soil Station will support:

1. Up to four 6440 soil moisture sensors
2. Up to four 6470 soil temperature sensors and/or
3.  Up to two 6420 leaf wetness sensors

Use with

• A 6252NZ Vantage Pro 2 or 6242NZ Vantage Vue bundle
• A custom Davis WeatherLink system built around a 6100 WeatherLink Live or the 6313 WeatherLink Console
• A 6312 wireless Vantage Pro 2 console/6152 Vantage Pro 2 console/ISS bundle. These have been discontinued, but there are plenty still out there with our customers
• A wireless Davis Weather Envoy This is how you would get your soil data to a control system via BACNET or ModBus
